I wasn't feeling great this weekend so I stayed off the bike and
watched TV.  I'm having a hard time getting back on my riding
schedule.  Yes, it is hard to get up every morning at a quarter to
five.  Hard to believe!  I managed to drag my ass out of bed too late
for a long ride so I went as long as I could.  I took Diamond to 18th
to Harrison to 10th to Townsend.  This is the Showplace Square
neighborhood.  I think.  It's a bunch of design companies and high tech
stuff.  With a pretty Chinese looking thing in the square:

    The view down Townsend:

    I
continued on Townsend.  Lots of great brick warehouses the whole way
down.  The street is developing at a fever pace.  Because they can.
It's a lot easier to take a commercial building and redo it and resell
at as commercial or rezone it and put in lofts than it is to vacate a
single room occupancy hotel and renovate that which is why South of
Market gentrifies at a fever pace where the Tenderloin still gets the
    cracky shakes.

I took Townsend to the Embarcadero.  This is the Bay Bridge from just East of it.  Beautiful.

    I
continued on the Embaracadero and then made a U turn at Justin Herman
Plaza and then took Mission to Fremont to Front to Pine to Sansome and
    into work
