After work I headed out Market to Valencia and into the Mission.  I wanted to visit the Ingleside neighborhood.  I stopped by city college to check out the new construction:

They seem to be doing a lot of building out at the city college but what I don't get is why the existing buildings are all in such terrible shape.  My classes are all in Batmale Hall and the bathrooms are always flooding, broken down, and nasty.  Yuck!  From there I headed out Ocean and saw this groovy looking fast food restaurant sign:

On closer inspection it looks kind of hand painted as if it was painted over an earlier sign.  I don't quite know what to make of it.  But the internet is chock full of rave reviews and now they've got chicken wings so I should bring Mr. Poe by some time.  I continued over to a cool looking church on Ashton called Saint Emydius.  It's construction reminds me a little of Saint Boniface in the Tenderloin:

I headed down Urbano street in the Ingleside.  It's a pretty neighborhood, not as grand as Saint Francis Wood and full of bungalow style houses.  Fabulous!

Then I headed into Saint Francis Wood on San Benito and then Santa Paula.  The fog was really starting to come in as I went up the hill:

I headed up Portola to Corbett and then home.  After a quick dinner (ie eat as fast as you can because the dog wants to go out now) I took Rufus to the dog park where he met this dog named Roscoe:

Roscoe is an eleven year old Malamute and very friendly. He really liked Rufus and started guarding him when he thought that other dogs were playing with him too rough.  His Mom was yelling at him "Roscoe don't guard the puppy!!"  Finally he stopped and went and dug a hole to let her know he was pouting.  It was so cute!  He's my new favorite at the dog park and Rufus follows him around like he's his favorite uncle or something.  I did manage to get a few pics of Rufus playing with a Weimaraner before Roscoe broke them up.

So precious!  He was pretty tired and so we went back home and got Mimi and took everybody for a walk.  Mimi's getting a lot better about not being so nasty to people and dogs on the walk.  This is probably because I let Rufus meet every dog and every person who wants to meet him.  Then we headed home and I was in bed by 9.  Total bike mileage:  30
