Tuesday I came into work Market to Laguna to Grove to Polk to California to Leidesdorff I headed home for lunch and hard a terrible time getting back to work because of all the protests.  Which are totally pointless.  Because they're very unfocused and only have the affect of irritation people and making them not give a shit what the message is if there is one.  And also because they're protesting in the finanacial district and not Sacramento where they might actually get an audience that could actually enact change. And the more disruptive and especially smashy-smashy things they're doing only serve to push them to margins and further diminish the chances of their getting anything done.

After work I headed off 2nd to Howard.  I stopped at 10th for pics of pretty St. Joseph's which is decommissioned and I'm assuming facing the wrecking ball sooner rather than later.  It's like a ruin in process:

I continued on Howard to 11th to Folsom to 15th to Valencia to tour the damage on Valencia from the riots the night before.  They got most of it cleaned up and it looked pretty good.  I continued to Tiffany to 29th to San Jose to Monterey to Ridgewood to Flood to Hazelwood to Greenwood to Plymouth to Wildwood to Faxon to De Montefort.  I stopped for pics of pretty St. Emydius--  the patron saint of earthquakes:

Here's a video of it that you can watch.  I took Ashton to Pico to Urbano and stopped for a pic of a pretty house with what was once the El Rey theater and is now a church rising behind it:

I continued on Urbano to Moncada where I took a bunch of pics of the pretty homes found there:

I continued on Moncada to Ocean to San Leandro and took some pics of some of the fabulous Saint Francis Wood homes:

I continued on San Leandro to Portola to Corbett to Ord and home for dinner.  After dinner we went to bed early.  It had been a long ass day.

Monday I came into work Market to Laguna to Grove to Polk to Post to Kearny to Bush to Sansome.  I headed home for lunch and then went for a nice ride after work.  I headed off Columbus to Stockton to North Point to Van Ness to Francisco to Laguna to Cervantes to Marina into Old Mason.  I surveyed the work they'd done over the weekend dismantling Doyle Drive and replacing it with shiny, new Presidio Parkway.  It's pretty dramatic:

You can see the new tunnel they've built which I totally didn't know was there.  How did I miss that??

The Golden Gate Bride behind the Crissy Field Lagoon:

I headed up to Lincoln and stopped for a pic of Crissy Field:

I continued on Lincoln and stopped a little west of the Golden Gate Bridge for pics.  It was a gorgeous day, but the fog was rollin' in:

    Me:

I continued on Lincoln into Camino Del Mar to 27th to Cabrillo to 14th to Fulton and into Golden Gate Park at the Rose Garden.  Not much to see yet.  The roses at my house are much, much nicer:

I headed over to JFK.  I do not like these bike lanes that they've put up in Golden Gate Park.  They're between a row of parking and the curb and I feel like they're going to leave cyclists no option when the park is busy, there's tons of cars and the bike lane gets suddenly obstructed by, for example, children jumping out of a car.  There's a lively debate going on about it over on Uptown Almanac:

I headed past the Music Concourse and then came out of the park at 9th and took it to Judah to 7th into Laguna Honda to Ulloa to Sydney to Portola to Twin Peaks and up to the viewing platform.  Lovely:

Lots of fog in the western part of the city:

I continued on Twin Peaks to Clayton to Corbett to Ord and home for dinner.  After dinner I stretched out my back which is driving me crazy.  Resting it doesn't do much.  Activity stretches it out to a point and then it gets much pinchier.  Ah, worse things have happened to nicer people.
