This year I'm leading ALC training rides on Wednesday afternoon from the beginning of February until the ride. Last year I led them on Tuesday afterrnoons in May and had a great time. My employer is kicking in 16 hours and I'm using the rest out of my vacation time. There's a lot of riders who can't train on weekends at all and this is a great opportunity for them to get some miles in on an organized ride. Mr. Poe had a meeting after work so I worked from home on Wednesday morning so the dogs wouldn't be left alone too long. It was drizzly in the morning but the sun came out around noon and I got some pics of the dogs:
That's Mimi next to my foot. I've got Dior Waterlily on my toes which is a rose scented mint green polish that seems to be the it color of the moment. I do try to keep up:
Rufus always looks so dignified:
I had two riders show up for my ride and one of them turned around on the north side of the Golden Gate Bridge. The other rider was a friend of a friend and we had a nice ride out to Mill Valley. Here's Kristoffer enjoying his coffee in Mill Valley:
Kristoffer was a pretty fast rider so we got done very early and so I went for a nice ride before heading home. I started at the Goldebn Gate Bride and got on Lincoln and stopped for some pics of the Lands End:
The Marin Headlands:
Me:
I continued on Lincoln into Camino Del Mar and stopped for a pic of a super fantastic mansion:
I continued on Camino Del Mar up to the Palace of the Legion on Honor which I hadn't visited in a very long time:
I headed down to 34th to Cabrillo to 36th and into Golden Gate Park. I stopped at Spreckels Lake for a pic:
I got on JFK and took that to the North Windmill which is planted but no tulips yet:
I continued on JFK to the Great Highway and stopped for a pics of the beach a couple of times as I headed south:
Devil's Slide:
I continued on the Great Highway to Skyline to John Muir to Lake Merced to Higuera to Arballo to Font to Holloway to Harold to Ocean to Phelan to Judson to Gennessee to Hearst to Edna to Monterrey to San Jose to Duncan to Valencia to 18th to Eureka to 17th to Ord and home for dinner. Mr. Poe was home when I got home and we made dinner. I did a bit of cooking on Wednesday. I baked this cake earlier in the day:
And for dinner I made these. They're fried tofu filled with soybean paster and drizzled with a vinegar chili sauce. They were spicy, salty and delicious. Even Mr. Poe ate one and he doesn't like tofu at all:
After dinner I finished a little work and then I went to bed.
