Sunday I helped out on the World AIDS Day ride.  I came up with the route which I hope was an improvement over last year and I swept with Buz.  Mr. Poe worked the rest stop for us as a reward I got Thai food delivered from Thailand Restaurant in the Castro for dinner and he had shrimp stuffed with crabmeat, batter dipped and deep fried.  Is there a Thai Paula Deen somewhere??  He ate them so quickly I was thinking I should have gotten him two orders.  The ride went pretty well.  Any ride in the city is gonna involve a lot of turns and I hope people didn't get to lost.  Buz and got El Toro burritos toward the end of the day and sadly we had to eat them too quickly because we were in a hurry so we didn't so much savor as we did swallow.  But they were still delicious.  My favorite rider was the one who wasn't paying enough attention and didn't realize that Mr. Poe was my partner and started talking to him about how hot I was and how he wanted a piece of that.  Mr Poe, who is a jerk by the way, totally made him feel uncomfortable (which I would have done) but didn't let him off the hook and tell him that he found the whole thing hilarious (which he should have done).

Mr. Poe as in charge of the camera and took all these pictures of me explaining the route.  It's like my Evita moment:

Pictured of our glamorous crowd.  We had a great turnout--  it looked like it was almost 100 riders to me:

Mr. Poe also took a bunch of pics of the rideout.  We were a good looking group:

Saturday I got off my ass and finally went for another bike ride.  I had intended to meet my friend Larry but I showed up late and they were already gone so I headed off on my own.  I headed over the Golden Gate Bridge and through Fairfax and then made my way into Nicasio Valley and then headed up over to Lucas Valley because I wanted Chipotle for lunch.  I can report they now serve brown rice.  Then I headed around China Camp and made my way over to the recently opened bicycle tunnel to the Larkspur Ferry Terminal.  I got very lost at that point and spent a lot of time making my way back to the College or Marin which was absolutely in the wrong direction.  I made it home eventually but I was totally wiped.  My months and months of inactivity have certainly left me out of shape.  Which is very frustrating.  I headed home and had dinner and went to bed early.  I was beat.

This is the view looking over San Geronimo Valley from the top of Nicasio Valley Road:

    China Camp!  So pretty:

This is the new bike tunnel in San Rafael.  It sits in part of an old railway tunnel.  I think they subdivided it to keep people from living in it:

I haven't been riding.  I haven't been doing much of anything.  I've been very, very busy at work the last couple of weeks but luckily I think it's gonna ease off pretty soon.  Thankfully, I can work from home which I've been doing a lot because I'm OK with a 14 hour day but I want to do it in my pajamas.  I've got some riding on the calendar for this weekend and I'm looking forward to that.  Stay tuned!
