    Thursday I had to get up extra early to get Mr. Poe to Oakland for a 6AM flight, an act I'm expecting to get taken out to dinner in thanks for.  You know, her married me twice so I figure I have to take him for his early morning flights at SFO as a freebie but Oakland is another matter entirely.  I got back from the airport at about 5:30 and had a big breakfast and went back to bed for a couple of hours.  An enormous storm moved in on Thursday and it rained all day. I worked from home and stayed indoors all day.  Even poor Rufus refused to go outside until he just couldn't wait anymore and then charged back up the back stairs and grumbled til I dried him off.  I got this pic off of my front porch mid day.  Where's that famous California sunshine I've heard so much about??

    My friend Chris came and collected me a little before 5 and we went to Sports Basement for the Different Spokes membership drive meeting.  Turnout was light--  I think it was the weather.  We had an interesting presentation by a lawyer on road safety and then I headed home.  The dogs and I watched a little TV and then we went to bed.  I hope the weather's nicer tomorrow.
