This weekend was a little disappointing.  I had hoped to spend most of it on the bike, but it's allergy season in Northern California and I've been getting horrible headaches.  So I didn't ride after work Friday or Saturday.  But the worst of it seems to have passed and I did make it for my CAT2 training ride on Sunday.  The weather was gorgeous.  Warm and sunny.  Perfect.  I felt pretty good all day and managed to make it through without a pounding headache.

I got a pic of Rufus and Ashley Jr. on the front porch before I left for my ride.  Adorable:

Because of the wonderful weather, we had a huge turn out for the ride which was lots of fun.  I saw lots of people I knew and lots of new people as well.

I got home about 2:30 and we headed over to Costco.  Mr. Poe had the bright idea to hit Costco during the Super Bowl because he thought it would be empty.  It was which was good, but the guy in the TV section was too busy watching the game to remember to tell us that we had to buy the mount for it before we call the guys who are supposed to hang it.  Which was bad an I'm pretty sure will be high on the list of things Mr. Poe complains about for at least the next year and a half.  We had dinner and then we went to bed early.  It had been a long day

I haven't gotten much riding in this week--  just down Market in the morning and home after work.  I've had errands to run over lunch so I haven't been able to go home and I can't make it home over lunch I have to head home immediately after work to let the dogs out or face the dire consequences.  Today I did manage to make it home for lunch.  I stopped at 16th st to survey the damage caused by a fire set by an arsonist early this morning.  I'm was briefly concerned that it was my friend Larry and Trevor's house but they live a block away which is good news for them and their cats:

I took a few pics on the front porch before heading back to work.  Mimi's got a new dress for Valentine's day with a sassy patent belt on it that she's very proud of:

    Mimi and Ashley:

Rufus is happy to be here:

I'm planning on riding after work today.  The weather's gorgeous.
