I got back in town Tuesday night and thanks to still being on East Coast time I had no trouble getting up this morning.  My bike pump has finally died to so I had to fill my tires up with a cartridge and then I headed off 17th to Eureka to 18th to Valencia to Mission to Silver to Alemeny to Sagamore to Brotherhood to Lake Merced to John Muir to Skyline to the Great Highway and up the coast.  It was incredibly damp this morning, but I'll still take it over hot, sticky Baltimore.  I went into Golden Gate Park at MLK and took that over to Stow Lake.  Soggy:

    Me:

I got on JFK to the Panhandle to Baker.  This fine Victorian is at Baker and Fulton:

I continued on Fulton to McAllister.  I love these pretty flats on McAllister between Scott and Pierce:

I continued on McAllister to Steiner to Post to Kearny to Bush to Sansome and into work.

Sunday we said goodbye to Mr. Poe which gave me the sads and headed over to Patterson Park in Baltimore which is a lovely urban park that you can read more about here.  It's got great views of the harbour:

And this fabulous La Trobe designed observatory.  My brother and his wife are in the foreground:

Sam made pizza for dinner and we went to bed early.

I headed out on Thursday morning to go to Baltimore to go see my brother and Mom who was in town for the occasion.  As Mr. Poe was already in Philadelphia, he picked me up at the airport and then we all stayes at Sam's place for a couple of days.  Friday we took water taxi's around the harbour and it was tons of fun.  Baltimore is surprisingly more pretty than I'd expected it would be.  I'd been there before, and my impression wasn't as positive.  I think Sam kept me confined to the crappy neighborhoods to "keep it real".  Saturday we headed off to Annapolis which is gorgeous:

Mr. Poe and my adorable niece Hannah

Hannah keeping those British out of our backyards:

We got back mid day and headed out for Korean for dinner.  Which was totally awesome.

Saturday I got my weave restrung which took most of the afternoon and then went home after and tried to placate the dogs.  Which wasn't easy.  We all watched movies on the internet in the study and tried not to panic.  Sunday I led a short ride out to Fairfax with Difference Spokes.  I couldn't be gone all day because of the dogs so we just went out to Fairfax.  Joel and Brian and Grahaeme and Erik went.  We had a pretty good day but it was very foggy until we got over Camino Alto and everybody was freezin' their fajitas off.  Here we are at Perry's in Fairfax:

    Me:

This is what the bridge looked like when we got back.  This was at about 2:30.  Gloomy:

    Erik:

I went home and hung out with the dogs for the rest of the day.  I ended up working from home on Monday and Wednesday and just came down Market on Tuesday and even then didn't go home for lunch.  I'm getting frustrated with how lazy I've been this summer....

I took Mr. Poe to the airport in the morning and then went home and got ready for work.  I came down Market into work.  After work I had to stop by Kaiser on the way home and rode Sutter to Divisadero to Kaiser then Geary to Fillmore to stop by Safeway and then finally Webster to McAllister to Pierce to Fulton to Scott to Duboce to Castro to 17th and home for dinner.  The dogs are NOT happy that Mr. Poe's gone.  May God have mercy on our souls.....
