I went back to work at the office today.  I've missed it.  Being stuck in the house all the time was super boring.  I won't be commuting on by bike for a couple of months so sadly it was Muni for me.  I got a few pics on Sansome as I headed into the office:

I love these amazing sculptures in front of the old Pacific Exchange.  I think I was lucky with the light:

Over lunch I went for a walk around the Financial District and the South Financial District.  I'm working on getting my walking speed up.  It isn't exactly comfortable and it isn't going to be so for a long time but it's definitely a necessary part of getting back to where I was.  The weather was being very cooperative.  It was in the seventies without a cloud in the sky.  I love the Embarcadero Buildings.  So textural and all sexy angles and fabulous in a variety of lights:

Interesting sculpture in the Embarcadero center:

    Transamerica Pyramid:

This pretty fountain is in the plaza in front of One Maritime Plaza:

    As was this sculpture:

    One Maritime Plaza:

    More of the Embarcadero:

Walton Park at Jackson and Front is also littered with interesting sculptures:

I wasn't crazy about this fountain/sculpture.  It looks better in photographs:

    As is the Embarcadero Plaza:

The Ferry Building which is another one of those building that I kind of stalk and like to photograph from many angles:

Pylons from a pier with the North Bay rising in the background:

    The Bay Bridge:

    Ferry:

Telegraph Hill from the Ferry Building:

I love the angles on this Ferry structure

    The South Financial District:

The Embarcadero as seen from the Ferry Buildings.  See??  It's fabulous from any angle:

One of the city's vintage streetcars in front of the Audiffred Building.

Another one of our vintage streetcars.  It's streamlinericious:

The Bay Bridge from the park at about Howard:

The Infinity Towers.  I love these buildings:

One Rincon Hill.  My fondness for this building is well documented:

This is an interesting alley in the South Financial District:

This is the Waateekaa Train Museum in front of the Bechtel Cente.  It sucks.  I mean really, really sucks.  I was hoping to learn about the Bechtel family or trains.  Instead it's an exhibit of the many, many triumphs of the Bechtel corportations.  I felt totally gipped.  And the museum is free.  I took pics of the inside, but really why bother:

    Me back on Sansome:

I'm pretty happy with the pace I kept up but I was very, very sore when I got back to work.  No knee pain at all which is good.  It's everything else which is expected.  Stay tuned!
