Month: November 2008

It was really, really wet in the morning so I walked Rufus for a couple of hours and then went riding in the afternoon.  I went and hung out with my friends Nathan and Daniel for a while and then got a couple things at the Sports Basement before heading down through the Mission and Visitacion Valley to Guadalupe Canyon Parkway,  This is the view of Brisbane from halfway up:

I went through Daly City and then made my way over to Lake Merced.  I stopped in Harding Park.  The fog was rollin' in:

I headed up to the Palace of the Legion of Honor and then home on Fillmore.  It was a fun day but I was beat.  I still had to walk the dogs which, of course, I did because they would have killed me if I didn't.

I got up super early because I wanted to get Rufus out of the house by 6:30 so we could walk for two hours so he could make his 9:30 groomer appointment.  We walked through the Haight and then through Golden Gate Park to Stow lake and then to the Chinese Pavilion.  When we got there there was a homeless person camped out there with a dog who was growling at us.  I almost left without going in, but then I thought that I'd just walked for an hour in the rain to go to this fucking pavilion I'm going in.  So I yelled in that I was coming in with a dog and that he needed to mind his and in we went.  Luckily, the Pavilion was big enough for both of us and although the other dog gave us the fish eye the whole time we were there there wasn't any trouble.  I felt sorry for the dog.  The sun was just coming up when I took these but you can see how elaborately painted the Chinese Pavilion is.  I like!

    Poor wet Rufus.

The flash had a wierd affect on the colors when I took this pic of the California Academy of Sciences.  I like:

It rained pretty much for the rest of the day.  We had some people over for dinner and Mr. Poe cooked up a storm as is way.  It was lots of fun.

I headed off after work Market to Geary to Polk to Pacific. It was already getting dark and my detail pics didn't turn out but this first place has a stunning paint job:

This house had a very spooky Halloween decoration.  Eek!

I think this place is on Washington.  The owners put out this massive Halloween treat-o-rama that reminded me of the Lifecycle rest stops.  It was amazing.  No I didn't stop for snacks.

I took Washington to Arguello to Lake to 23rd to Cabrillo to 30th and into Golden Gate Park and then JFK to Bernice Rodgers to MLK to the Great Highway and then Taravel to Merced to Hernandez to Laguna Honda to Portola to Corbett and home for dinner.  We didn't do anything for Halloween.  I was beat and I wanted to get up super early to walk Rufus in the morning.  Mr. Poe's still getting over a cold and needed his rest as well.
