    I didn't have any problems getting home for lunch but there were police everywhere and a lot of drama over the Olympic torch.  Our clever city administration elected to use a different torch route than published to thwart the protesters which made a lot of them very angry.  But it seems to me that the running of the torch is about the Olympics and athleticism as opposed to how much China sucks.  I agree with the mayor that changing the route was the right thing to do.  I saw some of the frustrated protesters heading away from the Embarcadero on my way back to work from lunch.

    After work I headed off 2nd to Howard and got a few shots of St. Joseph's on Howard at 10th.  I think it's best described as a lovely ruin:

      

    I took 11th to Harrison to 20th where I saw this.  I love everything about the sign and it's accompanying statue.  It's a pickle bandito!  He's got mayonnaise and mustard in his pistol holsters.  What more could you want??

    I think this building was also on 20th.  I'm betting it's missing it's attic level which would make it look a lot more balanced but it's beautiful as it is:

    I took Capp and saw this fabulous church on 22nd:

      

    I continued on Capp to 25th to Valencia to Tiffany to 29th to San Jose Ave to Wilder to Diamond to Monterey to Gennessee to Flood to Hazelwood to Montecito to Eastwood to Wildwood to Faxon to De Montefort where I got a couple of shots of pretty St. Emydius:

      

    I continued on De Montefort to Ashton to Pico to Urbano to to Borico where I got a shot of the pretty park on Entrada Ct.  It's looking up!  The last time I was there a lot of the grass had died and it was looking a little tatty:

    I continued on Urbano to Alviso to Holloway to Denslowe to 19th to Winston to Lake Merced to Middlefield to Ocean to Clearfield into 24th to Yorba to Crestlake to Wawona to 30th to Vicente to 17th to Taravel to Merced to Hernandez to Laguna Honda to Portola to Corbett and then home.  Mr. Poe was working late.  Again.  So I took the dogs to the park and then fed everybody dinner and then went to bed.
