I headed off after work down Howard. The new Intercontinental Hotel is just about finished if and I have mixed feelings about it. It's pretty and I like all the blue glass but it doesn't take any chances and there's a fundamental blandness about it that kind of turns me off, and i'm picking up a little cheapness from it. I got a nice shot of it from the corner of 5th and Howard, but even my attempted dramatic angle is kind of a yawn:
I continued down Howard where I spied this fantastic Deco warehouse that's not in the greatest condition but it's so beautiful and so finely detailed. I approve:

And the detail:
I continued on Howard to 11th to Harrison. This building looks like it's under construction. I'm going to keep an eye on it because it looks awful now but I'll bet it will be beautiufl when it's completed:
I took Harrison to 25th to Valencia to Tiffany to 29th to San Jose to Wilder to Diamond to Monterey. It had been getting progressively more drizzly and I almost headed home but when you're 300 miles behind schedule sometimes you gotta ride in the rain. I continued on Monterey to Plymouth to Montecito to Westwood to Elmwood to Faxon where I saw blue sky ahead! Hooray!
Here's a delighted me in the welcome sun:
You can see the rest of the storm heading south.
I took Faxon to Ocean to Clearfield into 34th to Yorba to 35th to Vicente and down to the ocean. I came up the Great Highway and went into Golden Gate Park at MLK and took it to Middle to JFK to Stanyon to Page to Scott to Duboce to Castro to 17th and then home.
