    I went shopping with Mr. Chris over lunch down in Union Square.  On the way there I noted that they were FINALLY found a retailer for the huge space at Grant and Post that had been vacant since I moved here.  It's going to be an ENORMOUS Prada store.  They've put up an illustration of what the store will look like on the construction barricades they've erected.  How clever!  I'll return to find out if they edit the little price tags on the garments painted on the mural to account for the falling dollar.

    It's interesting that Prada chose the site they chose because they were originally supposed to go in across the street in this building that is getting a glorious renovation that will soon house the DeBeers store I believe.

    On my way back to the office from lunch I noted that some buildings in the Financial District are more decorated than others:

    After work I headed off Sutter to Fillmore to Sacramento to 23rd to Cabrillo and down the the ocean and then down the Great Highway to Vicente to Santa Clara to Monterey to Diamond to Chenery to 30th to San Jose to 29th to Tiffany to Valencia into Market and then Hayes to Scott to Duboce to Castro to 17th and then home.
