Monday I would have preferred to come in on the train as I was pretty beat but we’ve got rain coming later in the week and I wanted to get all the riding I could in before that.  I came into work Market to 14th to Folsom to 2nd to Market to Sansome and then headed home for lunch.  After work I managed a nice ride.  I headed up Columbus to Stockton and stopped for some pics of Washington Park and Sts Peter and Paul:

I continued on Stockton where I totally saw some guy SHITTING ON THE GROUND and making no attempt to disguise what he was doing at the corner of Stockton and Chestnut.  Was this a disgusting act of poor hygiene or was the pooper making a wry statement about how the neighborhood is going under Mr. Peskin and his cronies.  Hard to tell!

I continued on Stockton to North Point to Van Ness to Francisco to Gough to Chestnut to Octavia to Greenwich to Lyon and into the Presidio at the Lombard Gate.  I made my way over to Lincoln and then up to Immigrant Point where I stopped for pics:

I came out of the Presidio at the 15th Ave Gate and headed Lake to 8th and into Golden Gate Park.  I made my way over to the music concourse and got a nice pic of the De Young:

I continued to MLK and came out of the park at 9th to Judah to 7th into Laguna Honda to Portola to Corbett to Ord and home for dinner.  I stayed up late watching TV and then I went to bed.

We had a really fun day on my Lifecycle training ride but getting started was a bit of a disaster.  The ‘Escape From Alcatraz’ triathalon was going on on Crissy Field at the same time we were meeting so cars couldn’t make it and bikes had a lot of trouble.  We eventually got it together and made it to the Golden Gate Bridge but it involved a short walk up steps to get there.  Steps!  The weather improved greatly as the day progressed and I think everybody had a good time.  Well done!

I got separated from Buz and the rest of the back of the ride and I actually ended up a little ahead of them.  I headed home and got cleaned up and had dinner and went to bed.  It had been a long ass day.

Saturday I led a Different Spokes ride out to Petaluma.  We took a slightly longer route which was fabulous because the week before at come in just shy of a century and that’s pretty frustrating when you don’t realize it until you’re at home in your pajamas calculating your mileage.  But not this week.  This week clocked in at a very respectable 101.5 and I wasn’t such a wreck at the end of it.  In fact, Miss Smith came over that night and we took Rufus for a long walk and, at the end of it, Rufus was way more tired than me.

Will, Wanderson and David at Peet’s:

I think these are plum trees.  So pretty:

The fabulous view point at the top of Wilson Hill:

Little lambs are so much cuter when you aren’t planning on eating them:

Mamma was still super suspicious of us.

We headed into Petaluma.  This is St. Vincent De Paul’s–  the prettiest church in Sonoma:

    Some beautiful Petaluma homes:

We had lunch at High Tech Burritos.  I wisely avoided their burritos and was pleased with that decision.  We headed home through Novato and Petaluma.  Here’s everybody at the Golden Gate Bridge:

I headed home and got cleaned up and then went walking with Miss Smith up over Upper Market, Collingwood Hill and Liberty Hill.  We were all exhausted when we got home.  I ate some more and went to bed.

Friday I got a pic of the dogs sleeping on the futon in the study.  Please note that both Mimi and Ashley Jr are sleeping on their own ‘Hello Kitty’ throws and that no, they won’t share with one another.  I think they all look a little hung over:

It was super foggy on Friday morning.  This was the view from my front porch:

I saw this apparently awesome drum set on Douglass:

I had to go to the dentist over lunch so there was no riding or gym for me.  But I went on a super fantastic walk after work.  I took BART to Glen Park.  This is a pic of the interior.  I like:

Then I started walking around the Sunnyside neighborhood.  I can report fabulous views:

I headed up to Mount Davidson which I haven’t been to in years.  It was a such a treat.  I walked all around on the trails and took a bunch of pics:

    Me:

I headed over to Forest Hill and then UCSF.  I had enough energy for one more stop so I headed over to Edgewood and went to the fabulous Farnsworth Steps:

    Check out this amazing view:

You can see a wall of fog rolling in over Golden Gate Park:

I headed home up over Mount Olympus.  Thw alke came in at just under 7 1/2 miles.

Mr. Poe was at a movie so I fed the dogs and then myself and baked him some cookies while we waited for him to come home.  Then we all went to bed.  It was a long yet fabulous day.

Thursday I came into work Market to 14th to Folsom to 2nd to Market to Sansome.  I headed home for lunch and managed to get a couple of pics of the dogs.  Here’s Mimi mid romp:

    Rufus:

Ashley Jr. wouldn’t get out of bed and the pic I took of him didn’t turn out.  After work I headed out 2nd to Howard to 11th to Bryant to 20th to Florida.  Spring has definitely come to San Francisco and everything is in bloom:

I continued on Florida and stopped for a pic of one of my favorite views at 24th:

I continued on Florida to 26th and stopped at Mission for a pic.  Can you spot the glamour?:

    Yes you can:

I continued on 26th to Valencia to Tiffany to 29th to San Jose to Monterey and stopped at Sunnyside Conservatory for pics.  I love this place:

    O Hai!:

    Daddy’s bike:

I’d love to see the permits for all this dodgy construction:

I continued on Monterey to Ridgewood to Flood to Hazelwood to Greenwood to Plymouth to Wildwood to Faxon to De Montefort to Ashton to Pico to Urbano where I missed my turn and didn’t notice to Victoria to Holloway to Lunado to Winston to 20th to Ocean to Clearfield into 34th to Yorba to Crestlake to 33rd to Vicente to 16th to Taravel to Merced to Hernandez to Laguna Honda to Portola to Corbett to Ord and home for dinner.  I tried to stay up a little later but couldn’t even make it until 9PM.
