I've been sick for a week.  Not pleasant.  Not pleasant at all.  My nausea has finally been reduced to a minimum and I'm feeling a bit better and back at work.  And not a moment too soon.  Mr. Poe is home for the summer and has embarked on a program of home improvement that leads me to believe that he ran a forced labor camp in a former life.  Hopefully he can avoid standing on rickety chairs and cracking ribs like he did in August.  The dogs are exhausticated from all the work.  I've had a look at Mimi's timecard and she's been putting in a lot of overtime.  Which is good because it also gives her a convenient alibi for the massacre at the "Beggin' Strips" factory.  Dogs don't know it's not bacon my ass.  Here they are:

I went to go visit Mr. Chris around lunchtime.  Sweet little Sofi is likely the happiest dog on earth:

This is Mr. Chris with Sofi and her country cousin Lucy who seems very happy and uncharacteristically normal.  Either she really likes staying with Mr. Chris, David and Sofi or Mr. Chris has been sneaking downers in her food.  Even money on which it is:

Little Lucy ... happy at last:

We headed to Chipotle for burrito on my way back from work.  I don't know about you, but when I've been sick and haven't been eating much for a couple of days I always make the move for mexican food as soon as I'm feeling the least bit better.  Which is almost always a bad idea yet I keep doing it.  Burrito was delicious but I spent much of the rest of the day hoping it was gonna stay down.

    Howard Street from 2nd:

This is the entrance to the Pac Bell building on New Montgomery.  It's a shame that this building has fallen into such disrepair and I'm keeping my fingers crossed that the next housing bubble will see it restored to its original glamour:

I went home and went to bed a little early.  I'm was pretty wiped out.
