Wednesday was pretty gloomy in San Francisco with the weather becoming increasingly damp as the day wore on.  I came down into work Market to 14th to Folsom to 2nd to Market to Sansome.  I headed home for lunch and got a couple of pics on my way back to work.  This is the very large new building that’s going in next door to the GLBT center at Octavia and Market.  It’s a great location and I can’t wait to see what it looks like when complete:

A view looking up Market from Guerrero.  The crane is another (!) construction project at Buchanan and Market:

I headed up Market after work and stopped at Octavia for a pic looking west:

Our friends Megan, Elaine and Chris came over for dinner.  We got Golden Kim Tar delivered which is pretty fucking amazing.  I love that place.

I’ve had better luck this week motivating myself to commute on the bike.  It’s been dry and not so cold so I’ve been riding more.  Monday I came down Market into work and headed home the same way.  Tuesday I came down Market again but I went for a nice ride after work.  I headed off Sutter to Polk and I got a couple of pics of Polk in the last of the day’s light:

I continued on Polk to Pacific to Webster to Clay to Maple to Washington to Arguello to Lake to 27th to California to 32nd to Clement to 34th to Balboa to 37th to Cabrillo to 47th to Fulton to the Great Highway and headed down the coast to Taravel to Merced to Hernandez to Laguna Honda to Portola to Corbett to Ord and home for dinner.   I hadn’t been out to Ocean Beach in forever and it was pretty awesome.

My CAT2 series has started up again.  Already!  The weather forecast looked pretty dismal on Saturday night but it cleared up and we had a nice ride on Sunday.  I was feeling my hamstrings coming out of Sausalito which reinforced how woefully out of shape I am.  I’ve gotta lot of work to do if I want to win the Lifecycle again this year.

    Here’s everybody stretching:

This is Deyon’s dog.  I should remember her name but I don’t because I’ve been calling her ‘Taffy’ since she was a puppy.  So cute and so sweet:

Here’s the gang in Mill Valley:

We got done shockingly early–  I was home before 2!  I got cleaned up and hung out with the dogs.  We all went to bed early.  It had been a very long day.

Athena headed back to Santa Fe on Friday afternoon.  Which was a shame.  We had gorgeous weather on Saturday and I went for a long walk around the sunset.  I got some nice pics from the top of Grand View Park:

It was cool but gorgeous.  I should have gone riding!

We had a wonderful Christmas at our house this year.  My cousin Athena came from Santa Fe and we had lots and lots of fun.  Mr. Poe did the tree with an avian theme:

Here are the little ones dreaming of Poodie Claus.  Who’s Poodie Claus you ask??  Why Poodie Claus is the magical holiday poodle who brings yummy snacks to all the dogs on Christmas Day.  Poodie Claus doesn’t get all judgy on you like Santa does and most certainly does not maintain a ‘naughty list’.  Poodie Claus has snacks for all the dogs:

We went to the Gay Men’s Chorus on Christmas Eve and then headed downtown to look at the lights.  After, we headed into the Mission for dinner at Big Lantern (meh).  We had a bunch of people over on Christmas Day.  I forgot to get pics of the food I made but I made a Gratin de Morue a la Lyonnaise that turned out really well and a couple of desserts.  The party went really well and I’m already looking forward to next year.  I love Christmas.
