Wednesday I came into work Market to 14th to Folsom to 2nd to Market to Sansome and into work. I headed home for lunch and then went for a nice ride after work. I headed down Sansome and got a nice pic of the Christmas lights on Jackson:
I continued on Sansome to Pacific and stopped for pics looking west up Pacific:
And down Kearny:
I continued on Pacific to Fillmore to Jackson to Washington to Arguello to Lake to 23rd to Cabrillo to 47th to Fulton to the Great Highway to Taravel to Merced to Hernandez to Laguna Honda to Portola to Corbett to Ord and home for dinner.
Mr. Poe had a school board meeting so I made dinner for the dogs and myself. I got very, very pissed when I read this– apparently they’re closing the west side of the Golden Gate Bridge AGAIN from January to April. I’m hoping that it’s very poorly worded and it will be open on weekends. It just doesn’t work to have pedestrians and bikes on the same side of the bridge. It’s too crowded, it’s dangerous, and it’s a huge legal risk for the bikers because any bicycle – pedestrian accident on the bridge is automatically going to be the biker’s fault because they are a moving vehicle and a pedestrian is not. I don’t know it’s going to impact my Lifecycle group but it isn’t gonna be pretty. For my Saturday rides, I’m going to make Mr. Poe drive home on weekends for the duration so he has his car and I can take the truck. Developing.
