After work I headed off 2nd to Howard to 11th to Bryant to Precita to Mission to College.  St. Mary’s Park is a cute neighborhood built on the site of the old St. Mary’s University.  You can read about the history of the neighborhood here.  There are lots of great 20′s bungalows and the architecture seems very southern California to me:

I took College to Justin.  This is the view down the 280 from Justin.  Foggy:

I continued on Justin to Alemeny to Brotherhood Way which is populated by church after church with a park dedicated to peace and everything.  I’m not sure about the history of it but a lot of the buildings are very intereting.  You can visit the community online here

    St. Thomas More Church:

One of the towers of Park Merced:

I continued on Brotherhood Way to Lake Merced.  It was windy and foggy there:

I continued on Lake Merced to John Muir to the Great Highway to Taravel.  This is St. Cecilia’s as seen from 19th:

I continued on Taravel to Merced to Hernandez to Laguna Honda to Portola to Corbett to Ord and home for dinner.  I beat Mr. Poe home by a few minutes.  He should work less until his injuries heal.
