I tried out a new route! Yes, even I find a new one every once is a while. I rode out Corbett to Portola to Fowler to Teresita to Foerster to Judson to Phelan to Ocean to Persia and up into McLaren Park. It was a gorgeous morning. We’ve had tons of rain and the hills are starting to turn green:
Then I headed down Visitacion Ave to Sawyer to Calgarty to Geneva to Rio Verde to Martin. This beautiful community center is part of Bayshore Heights Park:
I continued up Martin to Carter to Guadalupe Canyon Pkwy. Which is a gorgeous road with fantastic cycling and glorious views:
This is my “glorious view enjoyment” face:
I headed up Guadalupe Canyon Parkway and it looks like there’s a road/hiking trail up to the antennas themselves but I didn’t try to head up there because I had a big day planned and I didn’t want to get delayed:
Guadalupe Canyon turns into E Market in downtown Daly City. Look at this fabulous building. I don’t know what it was built for but it’s a pool hall now:
This cool church is down the street from the pool hall:
It’s got wonderful detail:
I took E Market to San Pedro to Washington to 87th and headed up towards Skyline. The neighborhoods are beautiful in the sun and the views are spectacular:
The I headed S Mayfair to John Daly Ave to Skyline and back into the city. I headed up the Great Highway and came up Vicente. I rode around Forest Hill for a while which looks beautiful:
And then I took Dewey to 7th Ave to Clarendon to Twin Peaks to Clayton to 17th and then home. We went to the grocery store and then I took the dogs for a walk while Mr. Poe started getting dinner ready. The weather was still gorgeous. Look at Mimi! Could this delightful creature really be the Chupacabra?
We walked around Ashbury Heights for a while which looked great in the late afternoon sun:
The view from the back:
I’ve photographed this beautiful building before. It’s incredibly detailed and very beautiful:
This place is ready for Halloween! Or haunted.
Mr. Chris’s birthday party was lots of fun. He looks fabulous! Who would guess he’s 23??
Miss Smith can’t hold her liquor.
Miss Smith finally gets it together for her super cute boyfriend Mr. Fang:
In a bold move, Rufus, who had already been in time out (aka his kennel) once for bad behavior lunged at David’s cake and took a monster bite out of it. David offered to “eat around it”. He got a new piece of cake and Rufus ended up back in his Kennel.
We finally got to bed around 10 and I was totally exhausted.
